Just finished the invitations for Cadian’s birthday party. A similar design printed through an online stationary company was going to be almost $70! Instead we tweeked it a little and will print it at home for about $10 worth of card stock and envelopes. Creativity really does pay off!

I recently had the opportunity to design a save the date card for some friends of mine. They found a design online they liked and I wanted to help them make it better. I spent about an hour coming up with three different designs and two variations of one of the designs. They ultimately went with number three, enjoy… [...]

Bulova chronograph watches are the perfect gift for that special someone in your life. Have you ever noticed how a man with an awesome watch demands more respect than a man with no watch at all? Don’t let your man walk around demanding less respect than he deserves! Say “I love you, and I want everyone to know [...]

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, don’t you think it’s time to start shopping for that special someone in your life? Everyone knows, and by everyone I do mean myself, that women love jewelry. But what do men love? I’ll tell you… men love jewelry too, just not the same types of jewelry. Last year [...]

Whether you’re a freelance designer fresh out of college or a 10 year veteran, Designers Don’t Read by Austin Howe is a real treat. From topics like “HOW MANY IDEAS SHOULD YOU PRESENT?” and “CAREER LAUNCHERS” to “NOCTURNAL GENIUS” and “THE IMPORTANCE OF PRESENTATION SKILLS”. Each chapter is as entertaining as it is informative and doubly inspirational.

I recently stumbled across CommentLuv…quite possible the most unique WordPress plug-in I’ve seen in quite a while. Like so many other people, I’ve spent a good bit of time trying to promote my blog and often find myself commenting on similar blogs in an effort to meet new people, spark conversations and ultimately drive additional traffic to [...]

Thanks to Google Maps technology and few smart wordpress plugins coders, there is a really cool way to display your geocoded pictures! I upgraded my cell phone to the new Touch Pro 2 last week and quickly discovered that the built-in camera was far superior to other camera phones I’ve owned. On top of the 3.2m sensor (I [...]

We’re headed to Saint George Island at 6am tomorrow!  I’m really looking forward to the fresh seafood and the ocean, but mostly seeing Cadian’s reaction to the sand! I’ll be posting Geo tagged photos to flickr from my new phone all week, so make sure you watch for those. According to Wikipedia, Saint George Island was [...]
