I’m ashamed to say I think I’m in love with my old film camera! There is just something very gratifying about being able to pick up a camera that uses no batteries and requires you to think before you push the shutter release. Even better, the same camera I enjoy so much has a better “resolution” than most consumer grade DSLRs on the market today pushing more than 200 megapixels with a high quality drum scanner.

I’m not questioning the fact that digital photography has surpassed film as the standard today, but it has a long way to go before it can pass film in quality. I also appreciate the workout I get when using my 7.5 pound manual focus camera! Does it come as any surprise to you that I enjoy my 30+ year old camera more than my Canon 40D?
