image Have you ever wondered how those fancy looking eBooks get their fancy looking (albeit obviously fake) covers made? I was recently working on a postcard for a book series and I was in dire need of this ability.  I may be a whiz when it comes to photo manipulation (one day I’ll prove it) but the type of trickery needed to pull off a mock book seemed a little to much for me…

I spent some time in college learning many technical aspects of design but didn’t seem to retain enough to get my moneys worth. The one thing I did take away was how to troll the internet for awesome actions, plug-ins and other trinkets that someone not quite as lazy as me was kind enough to create for the rest of us.  eCoverSuiteElite is probably the coolest set of actions I’ve used in Photoshop in quite a while.  Once activated, you have an amazing selection to choose from including bound reports, books, magazines, dvd packaging and software packaging.

This action set is high quality, time saving awesomeness! If you don’t already have eCoverSuiteElite and you’ve ever spent too much time trying to create your own packaging, do yourself a favor and check it out.

imageI don’t endorse products very often, I get enough time filling the salesman shoes at work  all week, so believe me when I say this action set is well worth the money. Happy eBook designing!
