comluvI recently stumbled across CommentLuv…quite possible the most unique WordPress plug-in I’ve seen in quite a while. Like so many other people, I’ve spent a good bit of time trying to promote my blog and often find myself commenting on similar blogs in an effort to meet new people, spark conversations and ultimately drive additional traffic to my site.  The fact of the matter is, the traffic generated from such activities is practically non-existent until now…

Intro… CommentLuv! CommentLuv has done something that every blogger should quickly take advantage of.  How does CommentLuv help?

After you leave a comment on a blog that has the CommentLuv plugin installed, CommentLuv will try to detect the latest post from your blog and then present a link to the post at the bottom of the comment. It’s a nice way to repay those readers who leave a comment.

CommentLuv Plugin

Encourage more participation on your blog and repay those willing to comment with a little “thank you” link back to their blog.  Get the CommentLuv plugin here. They also have a TwitterLink Comment plugin, which we’ll take a look at next week.  P.S. You can see CommentLuv in action at the bottom of this post!

I’ve tried commentluv once but lately since it wasn’t compatible w/ my current theme or shall say it doesn’t work on my theme, I just removed it. Maybe I will try to fix that later. BTW, I agree with you that it really encourages blog comments.

I have recently found the commentluv plugin and have to say that it is great fun so far! It’s good to see what sort of posts people have on their websites without having to go and visit each one individually.

I’ve just removed the no follow tags from my site, you’ve convinced me that a well moderated comments section should reward good commentary with a follow link.

This post covers my really sneaky CommentLuv trick for better blog marketing and promotion. The tip isn’t really that sneaky, just real good blog marketing.

Having such a powerful plugin on your site, encourages other site administators to leave worthy comments, and a link back to their site, as well as a link to yours. This certainly makes for a win-win situation for everyone. Thanks for offering it on your site, and I wish you all the best. :-)
