Have you seen dafont.com?  If you’ve ever wanted to type some­thing and the fonts that come with your copy of Microsoft Office just don’t cut it for you any more, it’s time you check out dafont!

There are 71 dif­fer­ent styles orga­nized into 9 dif­fer­ent themes rang­ing from basic and fancy to techno and ding­bat.  My per­sonal favorite is the script theme with tons of cus­tom “hand­writ­ten” fonts.  Every­thing is user cre­ated and con­tributed and avail­able for free down­load and use, as long as it’s not for com­mer­cial use and even then, many con­trib­u­tors ask only that you make some size dona­tion via pay­pal in exchange for their per­mis­sion to use any way you want.

Some other neat fea­tures of the site include list­ings of font tools and pro­grams that include font man­age­ment, font con­ver­sion and font cre­ation includ­ing a descrip­tion of all and a screen-shot of many. There is even a link to bulk dafont col­lec­tion tor­rent files in the faq… share and share alike I sup­pose. If you ever find your­self cre­at­ing fonts and want to share them with the rest of the world, you can even cre­ate an account and sub­mit your own fonts.  Did I men­tion you can down­load any font on the site with­out cre­at­ing an account or shar­ing any per­sonal information.
